Chronological Resume

This resume lists your work experiences in reverse chronological order. Work history is written in reverse chronology, starting from your most recent experiences. This is important because employers will see the progression in development highlighted in your career history.

Functional Resume

A functional resume focuses on skills, experiences and accomplishments garnered without highlighting work history. For those changing work types, this resume is essential to highlight the transferable skills to the new role even if the current role does not align with your previous work description. Combination Resume

A combination resume is a hybrid of chronological and functional resume. This type of resume is balanced because the work history and relevant skills are highlighted. It is invaluable for those who have worked in diverse fields and have gathered much experience from their years of working. 

Customise your Resume

Tailor your resume to meet specific job descriptions. Include some relevant keywords in your resume that align with the work description. Include the institutions, degrees and graduation dates. Customise your educational qualifications by including works or projects that align with the work you are applying for. Be clear and concise and avoid including irrelevant details that may make your resume cumbersome.

Professional Formatting and Language

Use professional language and formatting patterns when writing your resume. Use formal fonts like Times New Roman or Arial. Avoid using contracted words when writing your resume. Make your resume visually appealing and include bullet points to highlight your years of experience. Ensure consistent formatting throughout the resume organisation.
