BAYELSA POLLS: BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS PROFESSIONAL AND NEUTRAL ACG OPERATIONS CHARGE NSCDC PERSONNEL. 

In the spirit of boosting the morale of officers and men deployed for Bayelsa Governorship Election duty, the Assistant Commandant General in charge of Operations NSCDC National Headquarters; ACG Phillip Ayuba fcai, has charged the personnel to act with utmost professionalism and imbibe the principle of neutrality as they discharge their duties in the coming Governorship Election. 

ACG Ayuba hinted that the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni, OFR has sent him to carry out the overall supervision of the election process and as an agency of the federal government, protection of all critical national assets of the nation is sacrosanct. 

" Our duty in this election is to provide adequate security coverage for INEC officials, safeguard the movement of election materials from designated points to various units and provide security cover till the votes are counted and election results are announced. You are hereby charged to remain apolitical amd neutral in your approach; do not infringe on the fundamental human rights of the electorate because we owe them a duty of care so that their votes can count ".

The ACG Operations further hinted that the Personnel deployed for the Bayelsa Governorship Election were drawn from the following States: Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa the host State. He noted that the CG frowns at any action or behaviour that denigrates or tarnish the image and the good reputation of the Corps affirming that there would be a constant patrol team of gallant officers and undercover personnel have also been deployed strategically with their eagle eyes on those identified flash points but officers must be fully dedicated amd avoid compromise. 

He further call on the good people of Bayelsa State to come out massively in order to elect the leader of their choice and exercise their franchise peacefully as the NSCDC in collaborations with the Nigerian Police and other Security Agencies are poised to ensure that the election is credible, free and fair. 

With the ACG operations at the Pre- Election briefing are the Bayelsa State Commandant Lucy Fakoya, Senior Management Staff officers from neighbouring States, Arms Commanders, Component Commanders from various tactical Units and the NSCDC Election media crew.
