Meet Dr Moma Yawe, the medical doctor going the extra mile to help children in the northeast to receive quality basic education.
Knowing the benefits and the opportunities that come with having a quality education, Dr Yawe, despite being a busy practicing medical doctor, did not hesitate to get trained to be a teacher under the Accelerated Funding Project by Global Partnership for Education and UNICEF, becoming one of the people closing the gap of 280,000 qualified teachers needed at the basic level in northeast Nigeria.
Thanks to dedicated teachers like Dr Yawe, children in the northeast have the opportunity of receiving critical services such as quality education.
