GOVERNOR DAUDA LAWAL LAUDS NSCDC, SEEKS MORE SUPPORT

On Friday 18th August, 2023 the Commandant General of the NSCDC Ahmed Abubakar Audi welcomed the Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal dare to the NSCDC national headquarters in Abuja. It was a kind of working visit by the governor who has been consulting with relevant stakeholders since assumed duty on how to find lasting solution to the lingering spate of insecurity in the State. 

The governor who decried spate of kidnapping, cattle rustling and banditry in the State however saluted enormous contribution of the NSCDC to secure lives and property in the State. 

" I am here today to show the appreciation of the good people of Zamfara State on the Corps immesurable contribution to the securing of lives and property in Zamfara State. We are proud of the Corps because of your exceptional and professional conduct and modus operandi that gone a long way in our quest to restore peace and tranquility in the State " 

Like Oliver Twist, Governor Dauda Lawal requested for more from the NSCDC in terms of personnel and other logistics adding that the State is ready to contribute their own in order to make sure that the security agencies in the State perform and carry out their duties effectively. 

In his response, the Commandant General of the NSCDC Dr.Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, saluted the commitment, determinaton and patriotic zeal of the ex banker turn governor Dauda Lawal in his quest to ensure security of lives and property in the State whose slogan " Farming is Our Pride'' is being treatened by persistent act of banditry and other criminal activities. 

The CG restates the Corps commitment to the need to find lasting solution to the insecurity menace in Zamfara State and assured the governor that NSCDC will deploy more personnel with necessary logistic back up to further strengten the NSCDC presence in the State.
