Meet Katsina State born Captain Ruqayya Suleiman, the First Female Captain on the AW139 Helicopter Pilot Converton Helicopters.

Captain Ruqayya Suleiman, the first female helicopter pilot from from Katsina State, she has been a Helicopter Pilot with Caverton Helicopters since February 2015/16.

Capt. Rugayya Suleiman Danbara, joined Caverton Helicopters straight out of flying school as a Cadet Pilot in 2015/16. through hard work and dedication she rose through the ranks as First Officer, Senior First Officer and now a Captain on the AW139, becoming the First Female Commander on Caverton’s largest and longest serving fleet.

Captain Rugayya Suleiman worked as an

Helicopter pilot with Hover Dynamics Graphic (Jul 2014 – Feb 2015) and Commercial Pilot with Hover Dvnamics (un 2012 – Jul 2014).

She’s among the 15pilots who were trained in South Africa under the full scholarship programme of the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF)

As international certified commercial pilots. According to Raqayya’s father, her dream of becoming a pilot wouldn’t have materialize without the scholarship and emotional support from the PTDF.

Yesterday she received her Four Bars from the Group Chairman who was ably assisted by the CEO in the presence of the COO and the MD CHL, Captain I.C Bello.
