The new date for Census 2023 is yet to classified by the government, National Population Commission uttered the new date would officially fix by the Federal Government.

NPC promised that all the necessary resources for 2023 Population and Housing Census is kept safely in the Country.

This is said by Mr. Darlington Okere in Ebonyi, the Federal Commissioner to the National Population Commission.

Preparation for the Census 2023 will continue when ever new date announce by the Government.

He added, all the preparatory activities towards the census exercise, this includes the Enumeration Area Demarcation and others.

“We have conducted recruitment and training of census field staff, procurement and configuration of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), the establishment of ICT infrastructures and logistics support, advocacy and publicity activities.

“The most important task before the commission is to sustain and reinforce the relevance of these activities to the successful conduct of the 2023 census.

“This will ensure that the nation does not have to start afresh the preparations, thereby saving cost.

“The Commission has laid a solid foundation for future censuses,” Okereke stated.
