HOW TO APPLY PTA ONLINE(UPDATE REGARDING THE APPLICATION)

Update regarding pta(personal travelling allowance)from cbn and commercial banks in Nigeria 

Personal travelling allowance (pta) is an allowance given to the travellers from their respectives commercial banks respectively. Most of the Nigerians going abroad are requesting for pta in order for them to be able to get foreign currency or fx for daily spending in abroad. It is also known that cbn in Nigeria has stopped all the BDC. In other words, cbn  is not giving foreign currency to the BDC this is why to apply for pta now is through commercial banks because cbn is giving the commercial banks foreign currency to satisfy the need of customers respectively.

Recently, cbn introduced new way of applying for pta, from now any customer that is applying for pta it should be online not through filing the form A manually, this was done in order to alleviate the difficulties attached to the process and also to reduce the work or  to decongest  the banking hall.

Normally, the maximum amount of pta is 4000 usd but recently new policy was introduced, the new policy says that, banks should create instant dollar cards account(prepaid cards) for the customers. 3800 usd should be transferred into the card account and give the customer 200 dollar at hand respectively, this is done in order to alleviate the risk of moving out with the physical cash and to eradicate the dubious customers and defaulters respectively. 

Don't forget that, if you want apply, apply like a month to your travel date, buy tickets through your own bank account not the travelling company account. Apply through tradesystem.gov.ng.
