Presently in Nigeria most of the account holders are in the danger of fraud transactions, this is because most of the bank account fall victim in the activities of fraudsters. 

The main reasons why most of the fraudsters (yahoo boys) are penetrating into the customers account are :

Lack of strong passwords on emails and on the Internet banking application, 

Ilitreracy, 

Lack of knowledge regarding financial transactions, 

Most of the customers they just opened bank account without seeking the knowledge or reading the information given to them on haw Bank operate, They just go ahead and open the account which is causing a serious problems to them, 

Lack of educating the customers on how to protect their accounts 

Exposing your ATM to any body 

excessive use of POS, 

Lack of awareness regarding online transactions, 

Above are some of the major reason leading to fraud transactions in the customers account. We are now to look at the solution to the above challenges,

Make sure that the password of your email is not phone number or date of birth. 

Even the password of your bank application should not be phone number or date of birth. It should be very strong passwords that no body knows it except you. 

Make sure your atm card is kept in a safe place because last six digits of the card are very important and sensitive.,

Be updating your pin and password on your bank application time to time for security reasons, 

Don't entertain any call from outside the bank requesting your account secret like bvn or phone number as well as last six digits of your atm card, 

Be changing your atm pin number monthly or quarterly for security reasons
