How To Apply For PTA (personal travelling allowance)

Personal travelling allowance (PTA) is an allowance given to the travellers from their commercial banks in Nigeria. Every bank in Nigeria is responsible to give their customers pta if they request for it.

This is as a result of the suspension given to the BDC bureau de change in Nigeria that cbn Central Bank of Nigeria stop supplying dollars to them known as BIDDING. 

READ THE FOLLOWING VITAL INFORMATION REGARDING PTA. 

first of all, you have to make sure that your email is link to your bvn. This is because if you don't link your email to your bank verification number the application wouldn't be successful. 

The amount of the pta is 4000 usd 3800 on card while 200 is cash

For your application to be successful, Make sure that you have active account with any one of the commercial banks in Nigeria. 

Make sure that you are using the account time to time, this is because, must of the commercial banks are rejecting the pta request if the customer is not using the account before. They might be thinking that you just want take the opportunity to collect pta with them. 

For your application to be successful, don't apply for the pta with new accounts, use the old account you been using before. This is because, if you apply for the pta with new account bank will be thinking that you just open the account for pta purposes. 

Make sure that, you have an active international passport not expired one. 

Fund your account or credit your account with naira equivalent amount of dollars provided rate, but you have to know that rate is not stable one or two weeks to your travelling date to avoid rejection. 

How to apply for pta? 

Go to tradesystem.gov.ng, online, open the portal go ahead and apply for the pta, 

Make sure that you write a letter regarding your request,attached the letter online, your international passport in company with valid visa of your returns ticket should be ready with you, make sure that the destination you are going reach at least 4 hours, Select a branch of the bank that you want to collect your pta, after you have done so successfully printout the documents and submit it to the branch you have choose during your application. 

If you are coming to collect your pta, on or before the travel date go with your passport photo because bank will open prepaid dollars card for you instantly. 

The amount given is 4000 usd as stated above, 3800 will be credited in the prepaid dollar card while 200 dollars will be cash.
